This release is the largest single update since First-Look launched. Below is a full account of what is new, what changed, and what we fixed — for writers and for buyers.
Buyer Mandates
The headline feature. Verified buyers can now publish live mandates describing exactly what they are looking for, in their own words, and writers can submit properties directly against them.
- Live mandates — genre, format, budget range, comparable titles, and a written brief.
- Find a Buyer — a dedicated space for writers to browse open mandates and submit.
- Direct submission — submit a property to a mandate; the buyer is notified and it appears on their dashboard.
- Match notifications — buyers are alerted when a new property matches their stated criteria.
A sharper Knox
We rebuilt how Knox reasons about the middle of the scale, where most professional work actually sits.
- Clearer band boundaries. The difference between a 6, a 7 and an 8 is now decided by the severity of a script's most serious problem — whether fixing it means re-breaking the story, rewriting specific scenes, or polishing.
- Per-category criteria. Each of the eight scored dimensions now has its own definition of what strong and weak look like in that dimension, rather than being judged against one general standard.
- Draft comparison. Upload a new draft and see exactly what changed against your previous version, including the movement in your score.
Marketplace and search
- Rebuilt marketplace with filters for score, genre, tags, comparable titles, format and category.
- Faster search. Results no longer flicker while you type, and a clear loading state shows when a query is running.
- Saved searches for buyers.
For writers
- Rebuilt upload flow with clearer steps and no ambiguity about when analysis begins or what it costs.
- Tag and comparable-title suggestions drawn from your Knox report.
- Achievements and a public profile you can share.
- Market Snapshot — what buyers are actually asking for right now.
- Co-writer access so collaborators can work on a shared property.
- Writer memberships now include 5,000 credits.
For buyers
- Private script scoring. Score material already on your desk. These analyses are visible only to you and never reach the marketplace, search, or writers.
- Downloadable reports as PDFs.
- WhatsApp access to Knox for verified buyers.
- Buyer verification is faster and less fussy about how you enter your details.
A new identity
A full visual rebrand: new typography, a new palette, and a redesigned marketplace, dashboard and property pages. Alongside it, a substantial pass on readability and mobile layout across the whole product.
Security and reliability
- Scripts and reports are private. Uploaded scripts and generated Knox reports are served only to people authorised to see them.
- Watermarking on shared material.
- Server-side error monitoring, so problems surface to us rather than to you.
- Clearer error messages throughout, including whether credits were charged when something fails.
- A long list of fixes to messaging, notifications, billing and mobile navigation.
